U.S. Fly Fishing team set for World Championships
Jack Dennis has more than great memories to remind him of the 2007 National Fly Fishing Championships held last week in Colorado.
The renowned Jackson, Wyo., fly-fishing guide, author and teacher also has numerous bumps, bruises and memories of a near-brush with things even more serious than catching fish.
Dennis and Polish angler Vladi Trzebunia were returning to Jackson after the final day of the NFFC and in the very early morning hours of Oct. 8, only 40 miles from home, their car went off the road with Trzebunia at the wheel.
Reports say their SUV was demolished after rolling twice. Inside the vehicle, Dennis and Trzebunia had to dodge flying computers, cameras and fly-fishing equipment, but both escaped relatively unscathed.
