Does anyone currently have these boots? I'm looking at getting a new pair of boots. I need something that is durable, of course, but that I can hike up river in and not completely kill my legs and ankles. Any info is much appreciated!

Great boot in that it is light as heck. But, it comes up high on the ankle and if you have a wide foot, they might not work (very narrow boot) As far as for hiking, I would personally look at Korker's. Put the walking sole on to hike then slap on the felt- studded even better. I had a pair of the Orvis but, went back to the Simms ultra lights . No real reason other than I like the Aqua stealth sole. Very similar boot, but I can't walk up a lot of hills in them with the higher ankle support.

A good call by the goddess. I wear the Korkers and you can change out the soles in less than a minute. They are a comfortable boot and are definitely wider than the Orvis boots.
