speaking of discontinued rods.....

what do you think of the sage VPS? i was looking at a 8'6" 4wt to compliment my 8' 3wt DS2.....

why, i don't know, mostly cause the VPS was really marked down and we're all gear whores.....

just asking....and thanks for your input.
Bucko
I have a 590 RPL. RPL is reputed to be the fore runner of the VPS (same blank, different fittins)
My rod is on the fast side and at the time of its introduction (late 80's perhaps) was one of the fastest rods on the market.
Many folks think the RPL is one of Sage's finest efforts and because its the only Sage I own I would tend to agree.

What's the diff in the vps and the vps-lt?

The VPS is on the RPL blank....the VPSL is on the LL blank.

Bucko is correct. I'd like to add in general the VPS is a medium-fast action rod and the VPS-light is a medium action rod.
