I have a Scott 909 g series picked up on Ebay like new.It is a 4 pc.and I find when I put it together the butt section has about 1/2 inch gap between the ferrules.When I take it apart it is difficult to separate.I had a tfo also with the same problem is this normal or is there a remedy for this thanks. cool.gif

wink.gif Thanks Rich This is the only Scott I ever owned .Maybe I am just used to the Sage and Orvis they have a different set up.Did you get any use out of the Powell kicking myself in the ass for selling it now maybe an XP

These are known as "spigot" or internal ferrules. Same as Winston. The theory is they transmit the energy & feel in a smoother fashion... more sensitive...
DO NOT FORCE. 1/2" gap is normal.
