OK so everybody seems to like Simms waders. Has anyone ever had a bad experience with Simms waders. The way they are talked about you would think that one pair never had a leak ever. I read the article on the wader shootout, but if I'm correct it was done in 99 and seemed to only compare GoreTex vs. other waders that only had permeable spray on membranes. Is that correct? Anyway it has been 7 years since 99 and I'm sure alot has changed in fabric technology. I wuld really like to see a current shootout with the latest and greatest but barring that what do you think about Cabelas waders(River Guide, Gold Medal Plus, etc.)? Could we do a pole on this topic? I appreciate any info you can give me. It almost seems as if there are too many brands to choose from.

I'd like Fly Fish America to do another test on waders again like they did in '99. There are more waders out here now but I still think the Gore-Tex material is still the most breathable. In fact Fly Fish America had an article on how the materials are put on the waders and which one is better. Good-luck!

new2fly, I agree that alot has changed since 99'. I would like to se that pole also. I read how Cabela's build their Dry Plus and that is new, 4 layer of dry hampeners and 5 at the knee.
