Hi, I am going flyfishing at Lake Mead next week. I was wondering if anyone could give me suggestions on what kinds of flies to use. I know streamers will work, but does anyone have any flies they have used or any experience on Lake Mead?

I don't know about fly fishing but I was in the crazy schoolie striper bite of my life there. It was right before a huge thunder storm that put us in a real bad situation miles from our house boat. WFO cast after cast, topwater action. I've never seen anything like it. We hooked to on one zara spook. They were jumping out of the water into the boat, well not really but they might as well have been. It was classic. Middle of august 90 degree weather and wide open fishing, it doesn't get any better.

I'm looking forward to it. Maybe something like that will happen to me. Thanks!
