Curious about opinions and experience out there with Buzz Off products - is it truly effective, or just another way to charge $20-30 more for a shirt?

This was the 'convinsor' for me...

I was camping and at night with my 'head lamp' on all sorts of tiny, buzzy, biting things were flying around my head. The light must have attracted them along with the fact bugs seem to go for hot, sexy people!
I had a Buzz-Off hat in the car, put it on and never saw another bug all night.
It works!

Now that's the kind of user testimony I was looking for! If Buzz Off even works for hot, sexy people, I'm sold!!

I had a shirt as gift, Lite Long Sleeve model ... excellent, comfortable and very usefull design for fishing and camping/hiking.
I noticed it is ver useful for some species ... specially mosquitos within the aedes and culex generous ...
However, it does not have any effect on flebotomous spp. which are usually in the riverside. Also noticed no "activity" on arachnides.
If You asked me if I´d buy the product the answer is YES, without any doubt. Afterall, that parcial effect on insects is a lot ...

Interesting - yeah, I've noticed on the shirt I have that other species of insects (non-biting) have landed on it and not seemed bothered at all. It's more difficult to tell what it keeps away, unless you have two people, one with and one without, standing next to each other. But then body chemistry, etc. also comes into play. I've heard lots of credible testimonials, and like Adolfito said, Buzz Off or not, it's become one of my favorite fishing shirts so I'll probably keep wearing it regardless. And I hate applying DEET, so any other option is great.
