Hi
I'm extremely new to fly fishing-haven't purchased my epuipment yet. I'm a hobbiest woodworker and build my own canoes. I'm interested in making landing nets but haven't had much luck locating a supplier for the netting material. Anyone know of a supplier? Thanks

There are certainly more suppliers out there, but here is one that I know of: Jann's Netcraft.

They have preformed nylon netting, as well as the softer netting material used in catch & release nets, under Net Making >> Bulk Netting.

Hope this helps.

ddj, if you have any pics of your canoes I'd like to take a look. I've always been fascinated with canoe building... What type do you build?

Hi Rod
I've built 2 cedar strip canoes. Its a fun process but you have to be dedicated to the project. I do have pics. Most are on my old computer that I no longer use but I can scan some in and e-mail them to you. My e-mail is daved@means.net. Make sure you put something like "canoe Pics" in the subject line so I open it. You might want to look at Bear Mountain Boats website. Its a good site and also has builders forum.
