How old is the Sage SLT? I am thinking of byting the bullet and getting one, but I dont want to bye one at full price and the thing go on clearance next year. Was it released in 2003 or 2002? Thanks for all of the help.

I sure hope the SLT sticks around for a while as I own one and plan to own another. My 790 is the most awesome rod I own and hope to add a 590 to my collection pretty soon. Don't own an XP but do have a VPS in a 5wt and like it also...but the SLT has become my 'perfect' rod. JMHO

Yeah, me too Radio. I really like the slt series. I think it is one of Sage's best offerings. I am in the process of picking up the 9' 5wt, but I wanted to make sure it wasnt due to be closed out because of a new rod offering from Sage. Thanks for the info.
