Yes, I’ve tried one in WF9 on a Sage XP 890 and found I could easily cast the whole line; which is unusual for me. The tip floats very high and it shoots remarkably well in cold weather but not so well when it gets warmer. It stays supple in cold weather when other lines like the 444SL go stiff and wiry. It should be a fantastic winter steelhead line. You may have to go one line size up on a fast action rod though.
