Anyone know who manufacture's Cabela's Prestige-Plus flylines?

Anyone using one, or have used one, and would like to offer an opinion?

Made by SA. I have the 5wt WF. An awful lot like the Ultra. Sometimes I think they are the same other times I think the Ultra is a hair better for slickness.

Supposed to have a slightly longer front taper for delicate presentations but have never compared specifications (or don't recall).

If you are pondering the $29.00 sale price, it is a good buy.

I also like the green.

Thanks CG... yep, that $29.95 sale is tempting - IF it really is close to the SA Ultra. Not sure I like the green but as far as I can see it's the only option.
Any time on the water yet?

Hey there, 5/0. Dumb question: Why don't you like green lines? I just suppose that it's different strokes for different folks. Right? Me? I prefer green and opt for SA GPX and Rio Grand. Why? I don't have a clue.

My ex-mother-in-law was a "home decorator" type and wasted tons of money keeping their home up to date with the latest "in" things and colors. When her daughter and I married - the "in" color was that GawdAwful "Avocado" and good ol' "Mom" took it upon herself to tell everyone that's what we wanted for everything and my wife didn't challenge her. Result - my home was full of that sickly garbage for years.
Almost at the same time the guy I was teamed with at work followed his wife's orders and bought several "leisure suits" - all in pastel colors and all with matching socks and about half of them in his wifee's favorite color - "lime green". I don't think he quit wearing those leisure suits until 1979 (his wife made them for him after the stores dropped them). Since his personality was as disgusting as his leisure suits, "lime green" became synonymous with "Disgusting" in my psyche and to this day I can barely look at it. Sure not going to watch it on the water all day. LOL!

Jim, that homey story cracked me up, I've always been a contrarian and never bought a leisure suit. I thought they looked like phydeaus's ass. Your explanation regarding green fly lines surely is plausable.
