Hey all - new to the forums. Glad I found it though - have been building rods for 5 or 6 yrs now and really haven't had a good resource for information.

I recently acquired a 4wt 7'11" Superfine blank and I need some suggestions on guide spacing. I usually try to use manufacturer specs for spacing by can't seem to find any for the Orvis rods - short of going to a shop and measuring one out....

Thanks,
K

Hello:
The guide spacing for the 7' 11'' superfine blanks is as follows. Guide spacings are from the tip top to the center of the guide and on the butt section measure from the end of the ferrule. Tip section 4 3/4, 10 1/8, 15 5/8, 21 5/8, 27 7/8, 35 1/8, and 43 5/8. Butt section 7 1/2, 18 3/4. Enjoy the rod, I assembled that rod years ago and really enjoyed fishing it. It is a very nice 4 wt.
