Looking for comments good or bad on these reels. Preferably their "light" series models. i.e. tailwater CL... I only own two reels: A ross evolution 1 for my 3wt and a cortland graphite for my 5wt. Both have suited me well although I haven't been in a many situations where I was battling large fish... I am getting ready for a new rod either a 5 or 6 wt. (probably the Scott E2) and am struggling with the higher end vs mid priced reel debate)
Thanks,
Rod

Do the math.
Tibor = NICE
Ross eveloution = nice/less money
Ross rythum = All you need for trout, bass ect. / best price
so T=n(re=n-lm) & (rr =a+bp) = By the Ross!
What ever you like the best, that's the way to go! All have great drags, all will do the job. Best Fishes <'((((((((((>< Mike

thanks for the input guys! I've looked at the tioga by teton and looks to be a good bang for the buck albeit a little heavier than the Ross / Tibor/ Lamsons...

What did the Buddhist monk say to the hot dog vender? "Make me one with
everything."
The vendor gave him his hot dog and the monk paid with a $10.00 bill.
The vendor said "Thanks, have a nice day."
The monk said, "Hey, where's my change?"
The vendor replied, "Change must come from within."
This goes along with your water!

I have both an evolution2 and a lamson v1 both are great, if I were you I buy a rythum same as the evo. just not as much machining, and costs less. Some think you don't need drag on a trout, but I was really glad to have it on the dream stream 3 weeks ago (2 trout over 24")

Ivanhoe,
Try Cabela's bargain cave, fly fishing. You can get a gold colored one for around $175.00. A big discount from the $300.00 price tag. I think it is last years model, the new one has a self lubricating piece where the old one didn't, otherwise no change.
They are light... and I did like that. Overall I didn't care for the reel, but that is just me.

thanks cycleguy. I saw that in the cave. I'm not too excited about gold reels though... I think I'm headed in the direction of the rhythm for now...
btw is it road, mountain or motor?
