I was wondering what would be the easiest way to remove old epoxy? rolleyes.gif
Bucko
Roach I have tried to remove old epoxy without much success. After it is hard there nothing I know of to disolve it. MET (methol ethol ketone) is an epoxy thinner but I don't think it will work after it has set up.
Heat will soften it, then you can scrape what you can but you must be careful not to damage the blank by either overheating or scraping.
I'm sure there is a way because rod repairers have removed guides and rewrapped. But the times I have tried I just made a mess.

Good Luck
