I'v been using sci.anglers line for some time now and I'm looking for some new line and was thinking about trying a new brand. If anyone has found a brand that they really like I would be open to new ideas

-Thanks

Good floating line for both fresh and saltwater cordland 444sl, it's a bit cheaper than most other high end lines...I've tried a lot of them "funny" taper specialties tongue.gif over the past years for stillwater, float tubing, river, saltwater, small stream fishing, like wind cutter, long cast, windmaster, clouser line, trout specialty line, pocket water etc etc, and in the end I like the good old "normal" wf best.
I didn't like the rio lines very much since they did get minor cracks very fast (when I used them a couple of years back) this might have changed...I do like the 3M lines like the ultra 3 and 4 and the 444sl biggrin.gif

Hi
I used sci anglers for years, but I tried Air Flo fly lines and I like them.

I personally like Orvis. I just clean the flyline in a tube of mild dish washing detergent per the instructions and its ready to go. I have owned a few Orvis lines and they seem to hold up well.

If you are planning on fishing mostly dry flies for spooky trout in small, brushy streams than I'd recommend the Cortland 444 Clear Creek Fly line. I've been using it for years with my 2wt & 3wt rods. Good-luck!

I like the Cortland 444 peach for the type of fishing you are describing, especially if you fish a mid to full flexing rod. I have tried Rio Grande, Orvis Wonderline, Wulff Triangle and Cortland 555, and still I find this old classsic 444 line to match the rods I fish with the best.
