I happened to find a pretty old fly rod i believe anyways. It is an Ambercrombie and Fitch with entitled New York underneath. THere is nothing other than this to identifty it as a model number or anything. I openly admit that i dont know anything about these rods or fly fishing in general. If anyone could be kind and have a look at the image of it i posted to try and help identify it and perhaps a year that would be appreciated it. It is is approxmiately 7 1/2 feet in length.

Have you tried casting a fly line with it? Are you sure it's not a spinning or casting rod?

To me it looks like the handle is not ideal. If you look at modern fly rods, the handle is in front of the reel seat, which allows the hand holding the rod to simultaneously manage line. With that rod, you'd need a second hand to manage line, which might work, but it would be less than convenient.
