Micro Caddis Larva, King’s

  • Fly Type Nymphs, Wet Flies
  • Source Umpqua Feather Merchants
  • Target Species Trout
  • Thread Olive 6/0
  • Body Caddis green dubbing with an overbody of mottled thin skin
  • Rib 2lb mono
  • Head Peacock herl
Instructions

To start, wind the thread back around the bend and tie in a 1/8" piece of thin skin. For an easy tie in point cut the one end of the thin skin to a fine point. Once the thin skin is on, tie in 3-4" piece of 2lb mono for the rib. Next, dub a caddis shaped body close to the hook eye, pull the thin skin over top and evenly rib the body. To finish make few wraps of peacock herl for the head. Whip finish and head cement.
