Start by tying in a clump of calf tail for the wing just behind the eye facing forward, cut the butts off at a sharp angle and tie back towards the hook point. Next take another clump of calf tail and tie it in for the tail also cut the butts at a sharp angle and tie them down. Prepare the hackle to be tied in at the hook barb, now spin pencil diameter deer hair clumps all the way up the hook finish behind the eye. Next trim the hair to desired shape and wrap hackle forward evenly spaced. Whip finish and head cement.
