Wrap a thread base.

Attach a length of gold wire and wrap a tight body if desired.

Tie in a length of vernille or ultra chenille at the rear of the hook.
Make sure it is about one inch past the hook to imitate the end of an aquatic worm.

Move thread forward and tie the body material down once more.

Tie off using a whip finish or half hitches.

Apply head cement.

The ends of the body can be tapered with careful use of a match.
