Start by tying in a clump of calf tail for the post, make several wraps in front of the calf tail to stand it upright, next make a few wraps around the base to make it more rigid. Now wrap back and tie in the tail followed by the gold rib. Next dub a smooth tapered body to the base of the post followed by the rib now tie in a grizzly hackle by the base of the stem, once completed dub a small thorax up to eye of the hook. To finish wind the hackle down the post and tie off. Whip finish and head cement.
