Start by attaching the 20lb mono to make the weed guard, wind back half way down the bend of the hook tightly wrapping the mono to the hook and leave the mono at the back for now. Next tie in the tail. Now begin to spin the deer hair 2/3 up the hook shank, now take the pre cut ears and secure them in just in front of the deer hair. Continue spinning deer hair to just in front of the eye and tie in the whiskers. To complete the fly begin to trim the deer hair into the appropriate shape, upon completion of this tie the mono weed guard in by taking it underneath the bend of the hook and under the eye and secure with several wraps of thread. Whip finish and head cement.
