Attach thread at the middle of the hook shank.

Select two segments of material for the wing about 1/8 of an inch wide.

Tie in with tips facing foreward. Bring upright and divide.

Spiral thread to bend of hook and tie in the tail fibers.

Apply wax to thread if desired and take small amount of muskrat fur and attach to the thread.

Wrap a slightly tapered body.

Tie in hackle behind wings and snip butt of feather.

Make three wraps behind wings and three wraps in front. Whip finish and cement.
